Machu Picchu 1 Day Tour

Today is the big day you have been waiting for, your visit to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 am, Urubamba or Ollantaytambo, and then transfer you in our private car to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Our train leaves at 6:00 am heading to the town of Aguas Calientes.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, your guide will be waiting for you to take you to the bus station to travel to Machu Picchu. Once in Machu Picchu, the guide will give you a two-hour tour explaining the most important parts of Machu Picchu, such as temples, squares, agricultural area, urban area, industrial area, etc.

After the exceptional guided tour of Machu Picchu, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes by bus for lunch (not included), according to the train return schedule, you will have free time to go shopping or walk around the town of Aguas Calientes.

The train will leave at 14:55 or 15:20 that will take you back to the town of Ollantaytambo or Poroy, where you will meet our driver who will transfer you in our private transportation to your hotel in Cusco arriving at 19:00.

  • Tour Leader or GuideYou will have an experienced trip leader with you for the entire trip.
  • TicketsEntrance fee to Machu Picchu archaeological park is included in the itinerary.
  • All transportsTransportation is included for all excursions from arrival to departure. Also included is the Consettur bus to and from Machu Picchu.
  • Vista Done & Expedition Train The Expedition train is included for the outbound trip and the Vistadone panoramic train with show and on-board service for the return trip.
  • Medical KitOur entire team is trained in first aid, all our guides carry a first aid kit to deal with emergencies, as well as a small oxygen tank.

What is not included?

  • Single Roomif you need a single room there is an additional cost.
  • Gratuities for staffTipping is a common tradition in any type of excursion, usually group participants pool their tips to give to the muleteers, cooks and guides. Although we pay a good salary to our entire team, an extra for them is always appreciated.
  • Food lunches and dinners are not included. However, we will provide you with a complimentary dinner.
  • Travel insurance: It is not mandatory, but it is recommended to purchase it to protect yourself financially from any lost excursion.

How to Book?

To book you have to deposit the required amount through Paypal and the personal data of all participants. Only with this we will be able to confirm your booking.

Deposit required:  US$ 200 per person.

Balance: The remaining balance can be paid in advance via Paypal with an additional 5% fee, or you can pay in Cusco with cash without taxes before the tour starts.

Extras and improvements

These mountains can be visited after finishing the guided tour to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

  • Huayna Picchu Mountain: US $ 50 This is the famous mountain behind the archaeological site of Machu Picchu. It takes 50 minutes to climb and another 40 minutes to return, you can climb this mountain once the guided visit to Machu Picchu is finished. Entrance to this mountain has an additional cost, and must be reserved in advance.
  • Machu Picchu Mountain : US $ 50This is the other mountain that surrounds the archaeological site of Machu Picchu, it is less popular than Huayna Picchu and takes 1.5 hours to climb. It also requires an extra entrance fee.
