Explore over city streets, rugged and unpaved roads; walk over rough, steep, and sometimes slippery paths without handrails; and climb many high and uneven stone steps at Inca sites.
Discounts apply to anyone who has a valid STUDENT CARD at the time of the journey (Students must be under 25 years of age) or who is 17-years-old or younger. The discount is $25 USD per person.
To book a tour you need to enter in contact with our consulters and make an initial payment of 350.USD per person, the remaining balance can be paid online in full or installments up to 30 days prior to start date, or in cash on our office upon your arrival. Also, we are going to require a scanned copy of your passport.
At the airport in Cusco, on your arrival, our representatives will be waiting to transport you to your hotel and help you check-in and provide you with the necessary information about restaurants, money exchange, etc the rest of the morning will be free to acclimatize.
At 17:30 There is an optional visit to the center of native art, where you will be able to see the traditional dances of our region.
By the afternoon at 13:00 pm, we will start the archaeological Cusco City Tour, in this tour you will visit the main Cathedral of Cusco, in its interior houses a large collection of works of Spanish baroque style architecture.
Then we will visit the Temple of Coricancha, also known as a Temple of the Sun, where the Spaniards built the Church of Santo Domingo on one of the most important Inca temples.
Then, we’re going out of the city with direction to the four archaeological sites, such as Sacsayhuaman, where the Inti Raymi (Sun Festival) is recreated every June 24th, the most popular celebration in Cusco, following we will visit Qenqo, Tambomachay, and Pukapukara (famous Inca Baths).
The tour of the day ends at approximately 18:30 hours.
At 08h00 in the morning is the departure to the famous Vilcanota river, better known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the way, we will stop to have the explications by our guide the Incan sites and to observe the scenery, mountains.
We visit the archaeological site of Pisac, with its enormous Inca terraces for agriculture, the extensive buildings over the valley like temples, homes, altars, etc., and after that we are going to the traditional market (only on market days), there you will have free time to interact with the local craftsmen, or to buy hand-made souvenirs.
We continue to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch (Included) at a touristic local restaurant. After lunch, we drive until Ollantaytambo, the Inca town with remarkable channels, stone streets, where it is still preserved the Inca architecture. We visit the amazing temples with enormous blocks.
Finally, we are going to board the train to Aguas Calientes, where you will be transferred to your hotel.
For the visit to Machu Picchu to be perfect, we will leave early, at 5:00 am to avoid the big groups of tourists and enjoy a spectacular sunset over the mountains of Machu Picchu.
We will go by bus to reach the citadel of Machu Picchu, this short trip takes 25 minutes through some mountainous features and stunning views.
We finally arrived at Machu Picchu, where you will have two hours of explanations with our guide, during the explanation you will visit the mirador, Intiwatana located on top of the citadel, the sun temple, the condor temple, and other important sectors.
After the tour, you will have free time to explore the rest oh the citadel on your own. At the recommended time you will have to return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and take the train back to Ollantaytambo. From Ollantaytambo, you will be transported to your hotel in Cusco.
Around 9:00 am after breakfast we will depart towards the northwest of the Cusco city, on the route we will observe impressive landscapes such as Mountains, and agricultural areas that form part of the attraction.
The first village that we will visit is Maras, During the colonial period had its importance for the large Jesuit community installed there, you can appreciate the beauty of its carved wooden doors that belonged to the priests.
We will then continue towards the archaeological center of Moray, where we can see the magnificent agricultural Inca laboratory, formed by four amphitheaters, circular stones overlaid to a depth of approximately 150 meters.
Then we’ll visit Salineras, a point from which salt is extracted since the Inca times as a means of economic exchange, people continue to exploit this and it is also an important tourist destination because of its huge wells of Salt
Finally, we will get back to Cusco.
We will leave the hotel at 4:00 am, following a trip to the village of Mollepata, to have breakfast that is already included in the package, then continue with the trip to Soraypampa, where we will start our hike.
We will start hiking uphill for about 1 hour until we reach Humantay Lake where our travel leader will explain the origin of the colors and the importance of glaciers for Andean man. There you will have free time to contemplate and take pictures of this beautiful landscape or to meditate a little.
Then we will start to walk down to Soraypampa to take our transport to Mollepata where we will have our delicious lunch already included and after lunch begins our back trip to Cusco.
